Tint - Metallic vs Ceramic???
NOTE: Before flaming, I did search.....
I know, I know, not another tint question but I am looking for opinions from those of you that have experience with both the metallic and ceramic films. I am getting tinted tomorrow and have heard/read pros and cons for both now looking for some actual experience.
I have an 09 with Nav. Because of work, I tend to be a big cell phone user (hands free) while driving. I don't want my electronics to be negatively affected by the tint.....but I think I like the look of the metallic better because it is supposedly more charcoal black vs the blue black of the ceramic. I believe the Nav and FM signal comes from the shark fin outside the car vs. the rear defroster so that shouldn't be an issue. Right?? What about cell reception, radar, etc.
Thanks,
RJ

Searched....still asking
I appreciate the links to the threads but I do search and read before I ask a question. Those didn't answer my question...or I wouldn't have asked.
The reason I am asking for personal experience is because I am not getting the same answer form the installers. I trust you guys and your experiences.
Thanks,
RJ

Tint wouldn't block the radio very much even if it was wire traced on the back window, as the tint would be on the inside...(i.e. glass/defroster&antenna/tint).

Ceramic is technically better. More heat block, better tint. But I've had 3m true black and the dyed grey series and they all look good. I got an "upgrade" to ceramic on my current car for $20 extra. Sold.
