2009 G37 Sedan Front Lip or Bumper Upgrade?

I'm a new owner of a 09' sport sedan. Coming from the DSM world its been really nice to have everything in my car work. However, I also am realizing that I look like every other soccer mom in Atlanta. I have got to make a change to the car. Wheels are down the road when these (new) tires are worn out.

So, till that time I'm thinking the front end needs something. I've looked and read everything I can find so far. It seems the newer sedan front ends will fit so long as you get the additional brackets for the windshield washer or coolant tanks, fog lights, etc. I BELIEVE but haven't seen anyone actually say that the coupe front ends will NOT work on the Sedans. I'd love the answer to that question.

So three options:
Buy the OEM lip kit for the 2009 sport model
Buy the OEM 2010 or newer bumper and other parts (then a lip too)
Possible install a coupe front end (Aero?)

Yes, no, maybe?

converting to the 2010 bumper is a bit more involved than you may realize:
https://www.myg37.com/forums/picture...-spoilers.html
Ijahman did a really nice conversion from 2007-2010+ bumper, this is a copy of his list of parts/prices to do it:

Collision Catalog - 2011 - Infiniti - G37 Sedan
Bumper cover, W/sport trim 1 $260.61
Energy absorber 1 $58.40
Fog lamp bezel, Fog lamp bezel Right 1 $17.84
Fog lamp bezel, Fog lamp bezel Left 1 $17.84
Finish panel, W/sport trim, W/sport trim Right 1 $37.06
Finish panel, W/sport trim, W/sport trim Left 1 $37.06
Seal strip, Seal strip 1 $48.76
Upper grille, W/o midnight black 1 $175.59
Upper grille, Nut, 1 $0.40
Emblem, Grill Emblem 1 $43.58
Fog lamp assy, From 11/10, From 11/10 Either Side 2 $126.80 x2
Tow eye cap, W/sport trim 1 $8.14
Headlamp assy, W/sport trim, W/sport trim Right 1 $742.81
Headlamp assy, W/sport trim, W/sport trim Left 1 $742.81
Washer reservoir, Washer reservoir 1 $105.73
Lower grille, W/sport trim, W/o technology pkg 1 $99.30

Coupe front end would require all of the above I'd imagine plus some custom fabrication and I don't think it'd ever all quite line up right.

If you're not up for spending the big $$ I'd suggest the lip

stick with the '09 sport lip. much cleaner look than the '10+ front end, IMO.

If you really want to look different, paint your brake calipers. I did mine and I get a lot of compliments because of it. It's not too flashy (unless you get bright yellow or red), kinda subtle but really makes your car stand out when compared to other Gs on the road. I live in ATL as well and have yet to see another G with painted calipers. (I'm sure if I did see anyone though they're probably a member of this forum. ) The best part is that you can do it yourself for like $50 in painting supplies.

I appreciate all the responses so far. I'm yet to see this subtle difference in headlight designs between the models. Something I'd like the forum to provide is something we have over at the dsm site I'm a member of. That is a sticky with the differences between year models in regards to body's. That would be very useful and if I could provide it, I would.

So what stinks is that I'm only seeing a few different lips for the 09 sport. The factory one, a few stupid expensive Japanese models, and another USA brand. Is there any other lip like the Stillen one for the coupes that would fit? I really like this look that graphite has: MyG37 - GraphiteG37S's Album: 'Graphite Ghost' - Picture

The biggest difference in lights between the 09 and 10 models is the fog lights, i 10+ they're separate from the housing, in 09 they're integrated. Not sure about the other differences, but given a few members have done the conversion I'd consult with them.

I'm not aware of a lip like that available for the sedan, try searching in this area:
Body Interior Exterior Lighting - MyG37

Check here too and PM the owner for details on their setup:
https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-sed...ur-sedans.html

Anyway if you're trying to "stand out" converting to a 10+ will just make your car look newer, not anymore unique as someone can just go buy one off the lot already configured this way.

Im totally with you. I have an 09 g37x sedan non sport and the front end just isnt aggressive enough for my taste. I know I need a chin lip, but something needs to happen with the bland lower grills as well. I've been looking for Chrome surrounds or additional fogs with a chrome center bezel or something to that effect.I have yet to find any options

I'd be doing the 2010+ upgrade but I just cannot find any 2010+ sedan headlights with AFS, nobody has them ever.

I believe they discontinued the Adaptive Front Lights in 2010+ models. I remembered reading that it was taking out of the technology package. I might be wrong, but it maybe the reason why you can't find the lights.
