why does everyone have a concern that it has to be turbo in order to work? A volkswagon had a 1.8T for years and that is a slow pig....

I agree. I test drove an Audi a4 2.0t before I decided on the G. It was beyond slow and the Turbo lagged. If we get a Turbo G, there will be Turbo lag, throttle lag, and transmission lag if its an auto. If you floor it, you wouldn't start moving until the day after.

I guess the only attractive part on an Audi is the eyelid, besides that, nothing special to me.

No, they are spaced out way more than the VQ37 G. It looks like it might top out at 6k, MAYBE 7k, but considering the G shows all the way to 9k in the red that makes sense they would show up to 7k for the diesel with a real redline around 5500rpm.
