High curbs and low cars
Have any of you noticed that you can scrape the under side of your front bumper on high curbs and parking space concrete dividers. Not only has this happened to my g37, but it has also happened to my mustang. That's the trouble with low cars. You don't always notice the high curb until it's too late.

Yep, I have become like an "eagle-eye" since lowering my G, it's amazing how much more aware I am of anything that may be trouble. This includes steep drives, speed bumps, the god-awful speed humps (those elongated elevated humps that could high center your whole car), road rubber & other debris, potholes, snow over 3", carwash drive guide rails, and yes, parking space stop blocks. Yes it's a bit of an annoyance but worth it for the ride and the look IMO, but we don't have much snow to deal with.

i used to drive a pickup and first day with my g i tapped a 5 inch curb that i used to park over every other day in my truck... diddnt do much damage... just a small chip on the bottom of my front bumper... but yea gotta be super careful.

Never hit one of those parking stop blocks, have scraped the underflap on my front bumper, the steel flex pipes on my exhausts' Y pipe, and the end of my exhaust tips, but most of that was the first week after lowering the G. I'm much better at sensing danger now, and how to carefully navigate it when those ugly annoyances pop up

Yep and that's why I would never lower my car any more than stock. Also live in the east coast and too low is also bad with large snow accumulations since your front end will become a plow. But If you have a low car or lowered your car you have to be extra careful with these things including some driveways. I rub on my occasionally.

- you are supposed to pull up to the curb not over it
- if you can't drive well enough to do the above then back in and use the great camera.
I live where we 'usually' have heavy snowfall accumulation and don't have a problem with a mild drop.

all of my friends have slammed cars, and by ridding in there cars it became a habit to always just stop way ahead of the parking stop/curb to make sure not to hit it. took the habit to this car and been good so far, will especially need this habit when i do lower the car

But any amount of carefulness can not help to avoid in and out some steep driveways we have here. Sometimes it's just too late to back off when you realize the danger.
I owned a lowered Corvette and a 240SX. I gave up lowering my cars after numerous times of rubbing the front lips, both car's front end became quite ugly. It is sad that I really love the look of a lowered car.
