Black Obsidian is a wicked color, awesome!!

Yours looks almost identical to mine without the front chin, and I opted for the 18'' with performance tire package. Like you, I love the 7 AT, never had issues that others complained. I do not have experience with earlier G though, but the '12 is a great car.

Thanks for the comments guys. Still loving it.

BTW: More observations.

1. I like how I don't have to click the warning to view the nav map anymore. If the map was on when I shut off the car, it's on when I turn it off. Come to think of it...I don't know that I've seen a Nav warning screen anywhere.

2. Streaming bluetooth audio is nice, but I wish it could fully control my iphone, not just play music and FF/RW.

What if you plug the iPhone into the USB port with the iPod adapter cable?

I don't have an iPhone myself, I'm just curious what would happen.

Cause you can't type in addresses when the car is moving, no warning needed.

Nor do you need to click the warning on a Garmin, it goes away in a few seconds.

Yea, but I couldn't type in an address on my 09 when moving AND I had to hit the warning screen!

Lowering cars has been going on for decades. I don't think it's a fad.

When I was a kid, the trend was to actually raise the back end with any means possible. And since I've been around for decades... yeah, it's a fad.

Neither of us are spring chickens. (I'm in my 6th decade) I've seen both raised rear ends (50's to 70's muscle) and lowered (seems like almost anything goes), going on together for a very long time.

Maybe it's not so much a fad as it is a stylistic demographic.

Whatever it is, rpm&my_G35, count me out.

I lowered my car modestly. Went with 20" rims and better suspension, too. It may be a fad, it may be preference, but whatever it is, I guarantee you my car handles a ton better than stock.

And that is what I was looking for (along with a sportier appearance). I'm in my 40's, btw.

Just tried this. The bluetooth audio will work (i was playing howard stern, since I was just listening to the sirius/xm app at my desk)...but you can't control it. I can switch on the fly though to "docked" on the phone and then the car switches to USB/iPod.

Basically, my dream would be to be able to get in my car with my phone in my pocket and just have all my music there via bluetooth streaming WITH menu controls. I'm sure this is comming......

This got me curious, so I found my wife's iPod Nano and plugged it into the car through the USB port and an iPod adapter cable. It recognized the iPod and gave me access to all the music through the Nav screen... playlists, artists, albums, even little pictures of the album covers.

That was pretty cool. Well, to me at least. Old news to everyone else, I imagine.
