So I have just decided to spray my entire car with Plasti-Dip. Ok before everyone flames me let me tell you that I just am very curious to see how this works out and that I am bored and have some time on my hands at the moment. I will not be using the spray cans. I have just ordered 3 gallons of dark red plasti-dip and an electric HVLP spray gun. I've been in contact with the guy that sprayed his S4 matte white for the past few days and have decided to give it a try. His car came out really nice IMO. Hey if I don't like it I'll just peel it off. I'll be posting up step by step pics of my progress. Wish me luck.

I think Plastic Dip offers some type of gloss so now you can get really creative. In for updates.

How often are you planning to reapply it? Yearly? Semi-annually?

Cause I wouldn't want to leave it on for an extended period of time, or your paint will suffer.

maybe every 8-10 months. Its not permanent so I'm not worried. Its just something that i am curious about and wanting to try. I've seen some amazing work on entire cars. They all came out looking amazing.

I'm serious as a heart attack. Its something to try. Hey if I dont like the outcome I'll peel it off. No big deal. You don't know if you don't try. Some people don't have enough ***** to do this and think its a waste of time....well my ***** are fukking huge and I got time to spare. LOL. But anyways I'm just curious of the outcome. I'll be roll painting another project car too with enamel paint as well.

Interesting, and cool that you're trying something different. I absolutely hate the fragile weak paint on these cars. I'm probably going to vinyl wrap mine in the next year since my chips will probably number over 100 by then

I have a plasti-dipped grill and I'm going to vinyl wrap it soon since the Plasti-dip grabs those microfiber towels like velcro and it's just tough to clean.
I can't really imagine cleaning an entire car that's been dipped. Definitely interested in seeing the end result and how you're able to clean the car in the future.
