How much does it cost to replace the grille?
Hey guys..
a few minutes ago my friend backed into my g37 and he cracked the grille inward. its dark outside so its hard to see if theres any more damage but from the looks of it.. im hoping its just the grille that needs to be replaced.
should i just go to the dealership and ask to replace it? the standard warranty wont cover something like this since it was an accident right?
im assuming i just go in, buy the grill, and they install it?
would it be better if i just bought the grille and installed it myself?

People sell grilles here all the time, I'm sure you can pick one up from a forum member for 100 bucks or less. If it's only the grille that needs replacing, maybe it's a good reason for you to get the midnight black grille?
Note: I'm referring to coupe grilles, I don't think sedan grilles should be much different :S

Grilles are not bad at all, as long as that is all it is. Very easy thing to do yourself too, if your so inclined. Your warranty definitely will not be covering it though. I hope your "friend" will be, seeing as they backed into it.

all you have to do then is take of the cover/shroud above the radiator and the grill is only 4 10mm bolts and then I think just 4 pull clips. wouldn't take more than a half hour max to switch in and out if you only need the grill

Here's the DIY, it looks harder than it is, takes about 10 minutes to remove and 10 to install. Just be careful w/ those hidden plastic dowels that go into the shroud, that's the area that has caused all the cracked shrouds
Removing the white tank is easy and makes the job easier.
