New V6 engine from Nissan/Infiniti
#17
^^ no boost yet. Main G's will still have Nissan engines. The entr level g25 is what will share the mercedes engine. Also the M35h hybrid will be making its way into the g. The coupe will be 1 year behind the sedan for the change, so not a few years. The new G Sedan looks really..really nice

Also, will they still offer manual transmission on the sedan?

I can only say I would not buy the same drivetrain again no matter how great the looks of the new car. I will also never buy another new Infiniti without testing a reasonably well used one of the identical model to see if it's a snap, crackle and pop-fest like the current one. Mine was quiet for about 5K only.

Looks aside, what about drivetrain? Do you know whether there is a new engine to replace the 3.7? A new transmission to replace the current 7AT? I doubt it for either. I smell a new body with the same drivetrain like they did with the current gen car in 2007 and then upgrade the drivetrain a couple of years later when sales have dropped off.

My sentiments as well. I had my car in yesterday for a bad speaker. Dropped off at 8am. No call from them about status, so I called about 3pm to see what's up. "oh we found the speaker is bad" Ok so can I pick it up? I am in a hurry to pick it up as I have something to do this afternoon. " OK let me check to see if it is ready and I will call you right back" 20 mins later no call. So there you go, lousy service.
