So I started up my car this morning and after that I went to go open my trunk to get something out and I noticed when I had the key in my pocket and went to press the button on the trunk it would not pop open. So then I tired to hold down the button on the key and that did not work either. So finally I manually did it from inside the car and that work. I closed here trunk drive a mile or two and now the button and key both work again. My key is sort of low on battery but I don't think that's the reason why it wouldn't open my trunk. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas why this happened?
maybe since the car was on?, would hope you couldn't open the trunk by pushing the button on the back, would mean anyone at a stop light could pop your trunk and grab your stuff while you're sitting at the light.
I'm sort of confused because I feel like I have opened my trunk when car is on and key in my pocket. Today it didn't work. Are you sure you can't open trunk when car is on key in pocket and you press the trunk button on the back?
So when car is running the only way to open trunk is manually doing it inside even if you get out and the key is in one hand and you press the button on the back to pop it. It still won't work? Car has to be off?
I hear ya but I know for sure I have opened the trunk when the car is running by hitting the button on the trunk. That's all I'm saying
I have as well....................it might be in your setting that this can be changed. Oh and I can not open the trunk when the FOB is in the car (cupholder to be exact). It has to be right by the trunk.
