Poor G :(

Went from a 20 roll, 40 roll and 60 roll, took the 335 all 3 times. Ive also ran other 335s, taken them all. The G has better high end and more power, not too suprising.
Actually the G's brakes are 14" 4 piston up front, the 335 has 13.7" 1 piston, our rear brakes on the G are even bigger than the 335's front brakes hahaaa. And C&D overheated the factory pads, this happens on the 335 too. Second I don't spank them on the street, I also spank them on turns, since 335s have a understeering chassis, it's like a rwd honda to be honest. Alot of fanboys for a car that's not too great.

The 335 power comes on early due to the turbo, it is a faster car. A 335 can also beat a Bugatti if the driver is sufficiently bad, or tires or whatever. With a decent driver, tires etc., G would lose.

Then the drivers didn't know what they are doing. There is a video floating around of a bunch of ellps doing hot laps...not surprisingly the 335 won.

LOL. Well honestly there isn't one comparo that puts the G faster than the 335. The logical conclusion is a drivers race. 6mt might be a very, very good driver, not to take anything away from him....but the 335 is faster in the hands of the right driver, bye-bye G.

Well, my car isn't stock! And I didn't put too much money into it for it to take a 335i.. And it current form it will take any factory 335i. But my point was that the G's performance is SO close to the 335i's that it will only be a drivers game. Also, the way the G feels and reacts at the limit is a lot better then the 335i. I have driven both cars to their limits multiple times and the G's chassis just feels a lot more playful, especially with that LSD. The 335i on the other hand feels really boring and a bit understeer happy. What I'm saying is that the G isn't just better than the 335 because of it's price, but the car is a lot more fun and tossable at the limit.

This is 2012 not 2008. You can chip a 335 also with less money and far more gains. Even so stock 335 run 4.8, so it's still a drivers race.

I stopped giving Consumer reports my time when they fabricated the results on the Suzuki Samurai. They even got busted for it on video and eventually had to apologize but it was way too late to save the Suzuki Samurai for the USA.

The 335 isn't running less than 5 stock. I had the only model that did and then BMW reflashed it about 8 months in and after that EVERY test of a 335 was over 5 and closer to 5.3.

It's the general feel of the car in stock form. The G's bad low-end torque and sluggish 7AT made the G drives like a 5000lb tank in stop and go traffic and getting 16MPG. While it drives great in highway, I'm stuck at stop and go traffic 80% of the time.
I liked the G but it's not for everybody.
Every manufacture is going to be more efficient. The outdated VQ37 is going to get turbo downsized following the current trend.
If Infiniti can't produce a more efficient car with good amount of power (and good looking) to compete with the new 3, the sales will only keep going down YoY.
Call them badge chaser or whatever you like. BMW just reported best Feb sales ever and 2011 was the best in the company's history.

not sure why but probably it was probably under the most optimistic condition with a good launch.
