Meguire's Scratch-X. Nu-Finish scratch remover. Anything like that.

Your not covering it, you are rubbing it out.
I would use a new car paint rubbing compound. It is not as abrasive as ordinary rubbing compound.
Dampen a cloth and put a minimum amount of compound on it and start off by gently rubbing it over the damaged area. Then clean that area up to see if you have made any improvement. If it looks like it helped, repeat.
The key is to take your time and keep checking your progress.
You have to be careful not to rub too hard and/or too much or you may damage and/or remove the good paint.

depends on how deep the scratches are. You should post some pictures here. i can help you with that but only if u have pictures. Are the scratches on clear coat? Do they look like swirl marks? if its anything past the paint, you'll need a new paint job. If its only clear coat minor scratch/swirls use meguiar's mirror glaze 205 ultra finishing polish.

I would wait until I get something worth worrying about. I know how you feel, it's more than annoying, however, my front bumper has pit marks and dings from rocks flung by trucks and I've only had the car 6 months.

Even for those you barely see, either don't worry about it or go VERY light using the compounds mentioned by Sniper.

Also, don't take it to a car wash.

the small barely noticeable scratches are probably swirl marks. Just buff it out with rubbing compound i mentioned or get what sniper said to use.

ScratchX works great. You put it on and rub...really hard. I've gotten rid of some minor scratches. If you go deep into the clear coat you won't be able to get them out without a buffer.
