2012 G37x Sport
Hey guys i need some help deciding wether to lease the new above car. Currently lease ending on a Acura TL 2009 AWD w/Tech package. Just to say i love that car but its my second TL and the 2012 is not much different. So i decided to look at the 2012 G37xS. Test drove it and like it. Mostly because its cheaper to lease. The great deals on the G37 don't exist anymore like they did in December, however it is still cheaper than the new TL. I just found out that the 2013 will be completely redesigned and out in late 2012. Should this be a decision breaker? I don't want to have a new car for 6-8months and everyone else have a different car. Some help please.

From what I've read online and on this forum, the redesign won't happen until MY2014, so it won't be out until sometime in '13. I recently leased a 2012 G37XS (took advantage of the December lease deals), and I absolutely love it. I had a '06 TL, and as much as I would have liked to have got another TL, I just couldn't grow to like the new body style. The G is just so much more sporty looking, and the engine is a beast.

you;re on a G37 forum.....a forum where most of us have G's because we chose a G over other cars.....its going to be obvious that we're going to tell you to get a G
plus a question like this is kinda silly....we cant tell you what car to get....the better question is which do you like more? clearly you stated the G was better and cheaper.....if we all told you to get a TL...would you?

Pick the car that you think you will enjoy driving for the next few years and don't worry about new models. Although one option is to tell Acura you want to go on a month-to-month with your 2009 and see what they tell you. They may work a deal and it will give you time to decide what to do.

Thanks for the great advice. Does anyone think this is a good/bad deal? 1400 upfront taxes included with 459/month for 36 moths with 12k miles or 499/mo for 39months. This is for G37x Sport with Premium, Navi, and as stated sports package.

^ I've seen better, but I say better in quotes...only because some of the guys here get impossible lease deals.
What're you looking for in a car anyways? I came from a TL as well, albeit a 3rd generation. The G's quite a bit more sporty than the TL. X is fun, but it doesn't vector like your SH-AWD system did (fun around corners). I'm young mainly, and I wanted something with a bit more "aw"...so I ended up with my current 2010 6MT a year and a half ago. Note, if you're an audiophile, you'll notice quite a difference (not in a good way) between your old ELS system and our Bose system. The X, by the way, is quite a bit more tail happy (especially in the snow). It's not that the system's in need of honing, rather a different system that works.......well, differently? lol good luck with your decision!
2014's what I'm hearing as well!

Nobody can tell you if it's a good deal until you stop posting car payments and start posting the money factor, selling price and residual....
you're a car salesman's dream focusing on the monthly payments.

JD i may be their dream, but i don't really have those numbers. If you do i'll be happy to take them and do the calculation and figure out myself what's a good deal or not. Otherwise i rely on what other people paid. Isnt that the purpose? Maybe im wrong.

As far as 2014 goes, a guy in the dealership told me late 2012 new body for 2013 model. I hope he is wrong.

I am not trying to troll and crap all over your car buying experience. I just hate dealers ripping people off . If you want help understanding how leases really work, hear why it's important to NOT haggle on the monthly price (leasing or buying), and get some help getting the best deal possible (which will end up w/ lower monthly payments) I am happy to chat on the phone with you. PM me if you want and I'll give you my cell #.
If you want to do it yourself.

Yeah that is what i am hearing as well. The sound system not as good. I mostly listen to XM and mp3's. I love the way the TL handles corners. I hope the G will as well. People who drove both prefer the TL. But people with the G seem to have no complaints. I got great deals on the table for both car for this Month at least. To me, being that things are the way they are i'll have to go with the cheaper option. I don't think i'll be dissappointed. I just wish they had two year programs.

People I know who have driven both the TL and G, say the G37 feels faster. I like the RWD bias on the G37x, it has a really nice feel to it. Extremely planted and very stable.
During the freak October snow storm I was driving around in about a foot of snow. Didn't use the snow button, rear end never came out. Never felt like it would get stuck.

I'm pretty sure that guy at the dealership has no clue what he's talking about. Infiniti's released no official statements stating as much, there's been no spy shots, concepts, prototypes, etc.
