Zenki = old design
chuki = mid design
kouki = new design
All on the same chassis code - for example, the 2nd gen RX7 Chassis code FC3S has Zenki 1986-1988 and Kouki 1989 - 1992 (technically 1991)

Update on my engine bay project...
One of the items I purchased was not what I was expecting, causing me to re-think things I had planned. I tried to ignore that it was not what I originally had in mind, but couldn't let it go. So I decided to take the time (and spend the $$) to do things even better than I had originally envisioned. Now I am shooting for a completion date of mid November. At least I have a project keeping me busy!
I didn't come empty handed. Here is a sneak peek.

I don't know for sure. I really only did it for looks, and if it does reduce... or delay... intake air getting hot, then that is a bonus. I have watched a few youtube videos with other cars where they took before and after wrapping temps. They seem to keep intake temps low, but I would assume it would be back to pre-wrap temps once everything is heat soaked.
