That being said, the rain shield completely blocks off the front of the filter. There are little slots on top & bottom of the shield, so rather than getting air directly, it goes around the shield and into the filter.

It rarely rains in CA. And when it does, I rarely drive my cars in the rain, because I don't want to detail them afterwards. I couldn't MEH hard enough for trying to make it work and restrict my airflow.
The motor is going to pull the same amount of air with or without the shield. Unless the shield sits right on the filter, which it doesn't. I'd be more worried about water/mist mixing with my air and fuel personally. Moist air is bad for performance. If it drops the ability to combust like it should be then your computer will pull timing to prevent knock and you will lose power. Plus it's not good for the mafs. Experienced this first hand with my Altima ser. But you're lucky it rarely rains there!! It rains like crazy here

Has anyone ever thought about capping off the intakes and doing a full blow by recirculating delete with breathers? I've got something I want to make and have been thinking about doing this.

I had to look that one up. Came away even less impressed than I expected to.

There's a certain irony in putting your sense of personal uniqueness on public display by doing something all the other cool kids are doing. But you know... I'm old and boring, and kids do what kids do.

All that psychobabble aside, here's what that sticker actually does: It says to the traffic cop, "Watch me a few seconds longer, because I'm probably going to do something stupid."

Lmaooooo you went in depth with that one! The majority of the car scene today has just become a fad. Vaping, stickers, lots of camber, stretched tires, bags, and "killing the game". But that's what they like so to each their own I guess. I really don't care. I just build my car up so I like it. One weakness at a time. As for the stance scene and stuff, it will die eventually. All styles do.

But I like the setup vqc. That color combo is super clean
