I assume that this was originally connected to a 'snow mode' button. Can anyone confirm?
Looks like my 2011 with only 35k miles has an interesting history indeed.
Now, does anyone know where I can get a 'snow mode' button? I can dremel out my existing console and get this detail taken care of if so.

Transfer case ✔
AWD light on instrumentation during start ✔
Zero wheel spin on hard launch ✔
VIN lookup confirms 2011 INFINITI G37 AWD ✔
Mysterious connector under console presumably for 'snow mode' ✔
The only thing missing is my little snow mode switch...

You're mixing things up. There's no such thing as "Journey AWD". There were 3 Sedan models, each with optional packages and accessories.
And between 2011 and 2013, the 6MT had no optional packages, just minor accessories.
Not that it matters one nit for what you're talking about, but for accuracy's sake... there it is.
- Journey
- AWD
- 6MT

i would honestly just bring it back to the dealership and tell them to fix this or pick a new one. theres no saying what else is messed with on that G.
I don't think removing the snow button does any anything to the AWD system itself you need to actually pull the fuse out. I always thought the snow button engages the 50/50 power distribution as opposed to the 25/75 and controls throttle to prevent you from slipping from stop
