^^^hey, when i wash mine i feel like she looks 100% cooler/sleeker. ..do the old walking away and look back thing a few times ...I am getting ready to hit the 60k miles/4 year timeline, so i figured this would be a good time to start some mods, though i am primarily looking for those that will enhance either ride/braking/handling and then will do the aesthetic modding. as for making her faster, she 's sufficiently there for me, or i'm just getting older and an extra tenth 0-60 isn't tops; so will use those funds for better handling(sways or tires) and better stopping etc, but i agree, these pics definitely make me want to lower, bigger rims/tires etc, but its a dd so will see... in a while will post a pic on here and see ...

It's a hobby, and the most car I could afford in the context of Bang-4-Buck, while adhering to my personal automotive values, and not freaking out my wife too much. Sometimes, more so recently than a few years ago, I question having this car, because I really don't need a second vehicle.

However, I'm not modding the car I have... I actually bought the car that I wanted to mod. So in that context, I'm feeling pretty good.

Some people just don't get it (modding). Not only does it make the performance of your car better (well, most of the time) but it separates you from the sea of other stock g37's (or whatever car you have) out there. However, I would even mod a ferrari if given the chance because it's just the way I'm built. Rochester may be a grumpy old man but I have to give him credit, his car looks great for an old timer (silly me as I'm getting old myself......lol). I also plan to mod (err, enhance) until I'm no longer able to so it's proof in the pudding that this passion never relents. Rock on.

Haha. I hear you man. There are so many sweet rides people post in here. I love looking at people's different styles in modding their cars.

I was kind of being serious, but also just trying to be a little funny. I also like to get ideas and inspiration looking at others vehicles. I bought my stock G37 sedan used last summer and got it a bit cheaper cause it had higher miles and had some dings in it. I have had many cars in the past I modded, and I love these cars and can not wait to make mine look much nicer. Its on blocks now in my garage, but I will take some pics tomorrow and hopefully post them up. Then you will know I was not kidding.

I have new wheels that are finally arriving Moday. New rotors and pads come wednesday, and I still have not decided which coilovers to order. When I get my car washed and cleaned up and with new parts on, I will take more pics.

i definetely have the mod bug, always have, its just that other priorities have risen in my life and as i get older, some mods definetely dont suit my lifestyle any more(lowered, big rims etc) not the image at my age anymore, I like the look, just doesn't work for me- now if the car was a weekend type car, then most likely no problem... My first car was a datzun 510(wood paneling on the sides) added some 15's(i think was the bigger size up... ) and rolled on that bad boy, it was laughable, but i loved it for its dependability. yep, modding is a personal taste for the most part, but there is a definite commonality for the majority, i guess as long as you like it and can live with your mod, then have at it. but for those with stock set ups, its still a beautiful car, so enjoy it

-Thanks newt! Not an actual ski mountain hah, some rich guy bought the land and started building ski runs before he got any permits, then was told he could't continue.

-Not sure what you're seeing Sunny, but nope cars in near perfect health. Well... as good as I can do with MT roads haha.

-Yup Rochester, two sets of rims . We had a very abrupt end to our winter, so to save my Blizzaks from unnecessary wear I changed back to my OE anniversary wheels and pd'd em black. It actually really made me reconsider them as my main set of wheels. As a non lowered G they seem to fill out my wheel gap much nicer than my aftermarkets. Anyway, I've grown to like them and am highly considering powder coating them in the future now

Here's a dark, shaky gif of my car.

And yes, I know my tips stick out too much. Gotta find a solution for that without getting a new exhaust completely.

Gave her a quick clean

Planning on powdercoating my rims black, as that's what the current budget allows for, but I was wondering was springs would offer the most mild drop. I'm talking like only an inch or slightly less, or would it be best to just stay stock at that point? All options welcome!

On an X the drops are limited
Tanabe & Swift will be similar and fairly mild then would be Eibach and then Megan springs the deepest drop. If you decide to eventually get bigger wheels the drop would be more "necessary", but w/ your 17s I wouldn't say it's a must.

Little night shoot from this past weekend. I took this while waiting for the photographer so please excuse the quality. More quality pictures to come as soon as photographer edits them and sends them to me.
