My car was at the dealership last week. I came back from a week-long vacation to discover that my 09 sedan suffered from the battery-draining vent control valve - https://www.myg37.com/forums/general...ake-pedal.html .

Anyway, I got a call from a corporate PR lady today asking for an updated e-mail address, so that "just in case" Infiniti needs to issue any recalls, they will have a physical and electronic address by which to contact me. Is Infiniti looking to issue a recall in the future? Possibly for the draining valve issue, or for something else?

 

^ something else. They just need to get ahold of you to inform you of any potential campaigns.

 

There already have a TSB for that. Most people don't know they have it because it takes a week or 2 of sitting for the car to die. A Lot of people on here have had the fix done. But it is something that they KNOW about and HAVE known about. It is an easy fix but they don't like doing it anymore, I think. So they are just waiting until it becomes an extreme problem.
