Question 2013 Redesign?

I'm coming up on the end of my '09 G37x lease... I'm finding myself looking at cars other than Infiniti. I love my car but really don't want my new car to look so similar to my current one. Does anyone know if the 2013 Sedan will be redesigned? If yes, is it expected out later this year?

Probably not. Most redesigns are about five years apart. I'm not sure if the 10+ is considered a redesign but if so then no there probably won't be a new redesigned G coming out

Last thing I recall hearing (from a dealer so take with an extra grain of salt) was that the redesign will be for the model year 2014 and as usual, released sometime in 2013.

No one stated that redesigns are 10 years apart. He was referencing the "refresh" in '10. And no, that was not a redesign, simply a mild face lift and few other minimal changes. The G is most certainly due for a complete model redesign, but would guess it would be no sooner than a 2014 model. If it was going to be a 2013 model, you would think we'd be hearing a little more about it by now.

Kind of looks like a mix between a Mazda and a Subie. I hope it looks better than that!

I have the '11 and I am happy with the way it looks. Had an '04 and liked the look of that, too.

If I'd change anything it would be the stupid trunk lid spoiler. I liked the real spoiler on my '04 better.

à

We don't say the 2011 looks bad, but when we changed car we like to change for something really new.

It will be useless to change your car and the neighborhood won't notice it

The Nissan family including the Infinitis have similar styling, but not similar platforms, due to the rear wheel drive Infinitis and front wheel drive Nissans.

I'm in the same boat. My lease is up in 5 months. I don't want the same car. If I lease a 2012 I know I'm going to be close to the end of the cycle. Maybe if I get a killer deal....that would hold me over.

I am looking at a 370z or the new 3 Series. Hard to argue will fuel economy well into the 30's (highway 528 turbo 4 is at 34mpg) and a brand new design/tech.

I feel like if I get a 2012 G this summer, I'm basically leasing a car that could be had in the summer of 2006 with a nicer LCD screen.

do the 2 year lease on a 2012 and you'll get out just in time for the new redesign to hit

2 year lease is a good idea. If I were in the same boat, I would think of leasing a 335i.
