My G is plenty fast for me. Are you anticipating coming up against a Genesis at every other stoplight in the future? I would be much more happy that they continue to improve the driving dynamics rather than having a power battle with a Hyundai.
And I'm sure joe blow is quite content with how fast his G25 accelerates (or not)
My point is that even w/ a manufacturer like Hyundai (let alone BMW and the rest) has introduced significant power gains in their recent model revisions. If Infiniti is to remain competitive I would have to say a power bump is inevitable.
more power doesn't mean everything. the upcoming Lexus GS remains at 306hp, but performance has improved with 0-60 times rated at 5.7 sec. improve on the driving dynamics, transmission, and low end power delivery. that will have me coming back.

good point there!
why would i waste my gas on a genesis? i'd more happy to battle a Bimmer instead!

Not to mention if they bump it up to 360 or 370 HP then we will end up getting a bloody 9 speed transmission that behaves like it's functionally retarded in order to keep up the mileage numbers. No Thanx.

I am with you on this. While the G is nice, there are tons of other things that can be improved: low end power, AT programming, road noise, leather seats, etc.
