2013 Redesign?

I'm in the same boat. My lease is up in 5 months. I don't want the same car. If I lease a 2012 I know I'm going to be close to the end of the cycle. Maybe if I get a killer deal....that would hold me over.
I am looking at a 370z or the new 3 Series. Hard to argue will fuel economy well into the 30's (highway 528 turbo 4 is at 34mpg) and a brand new design/tech.
I feel like if I get a 2012 G this summer, I'm basically leasing a car that could be had in the summer of 2006 with a nicer LCD screen.

Yea...i'm somehow really enamored with the 3 series (both turbo 4 or turbo 6)......I like the rawness of the 370z though. I just would have to make some lifestyle changes...and I'm not sure I want to do that.

If you were considering leasing another 2012 G, i would recomend just buying out your current 09 G, as there really isn't much difference between the 09 & 12, except for bumpers and wheels. The buyout on your lease should be alot less than retail price of the car. Atleast it is on my lease. My buyout will be $18,000 + taxes canadian. A 4 yr old G with 90-100k (km) in canada goes for about $24-28k, depending on condition of course. So buy it out, wait for a couple of years, and then you have more buying power. You will then have an 09 G with more equity if you decide to trade it in, or depending on how long down the road, you could have it paid off or owned, you can get another new car or toy, while still having the G.
Unless of course you absolutley need a New car now, then disregard my above statement.

The 370z is a good car if you have another vehicle. If I didn't I wouldn't own it. It's a blast to drive, but with only 2 seats and no real trunk to speak of it would be tough to live everyday life out of. It makes a great commuter car for the wife and keeps the miles off the G and I get to play every so often.
Oh and what he said ^^^^^That does make sense.

I remember spoke with the sales manager at infiniti when I bought my 11' G in Sep, he said it wont be out till late 2014 for the redesigned G, the 10'+ models were refreshed and it could lasts another 3-4 yrs till the new ones out. I'm happy with my G!

I guess I'm one of the guys who didn't mind buying the same looking car second time around. Although, going from an X to a 6MT S is a little different. Both great cars in their own way.

Agreed. I went from my black 07 G35x to my black 11 G37S and only one neighbour noticed (and he's a friend). I like it this way. Most of them are to nosy, for my liking, to begin with.

It makes sense that the new G is due on late 2014 as 2015 model, the redesigned G will have Mercedes' engine. The current G is still one of the best if not the best looking car on the market. The old saying, if it ain't broke, why fix it?

My G is plenty fast for me. Are you anticipating coming up against a Genesis at every other stoplight in the future? I would be much more happy that they continue to improve the driving dynamics rather than having a power battle with a Hyundai.
