Like they say, it's there for a reason. A good portion of the people on this forum should and do leave it on except when playing. My self included.
Someone brought up the old days with out it. Here is what I remember, my 69 Cougar, was playfully named curb magnet........................Put a 427 in a car that handles bad to begin with and............lol

very handy at summer, when at startup I forget sometimes to turn that useless VDC off!

vdc @ slow speeds - can get you in a sticky situation when your expecting/needing power. it can also throw you off on turns, you turn with decent power expecting neutral/ a tad oversteer, instead power cuts and suddenly ur pushing like a bulldozer.
vdc @ high speeds - can save you bunz when your pushing it on some back roads or a nice on/off ramp.
i drive with it off, unless im driving all highway. maybe im just used to rwd with out it.

On, if the VDC can save my hide, car and insurance why tempt fate and turn it off. If I take the car to the track, I'll turn it off.

95% of the time on it's off once in a while in a nice open back road to remind myself what a nice and fun car e G is... be careful stepping on it hard...it will loose traction and if you are not used to it you can get in a serious accident...

at atco my typical runs have been in the 13.2s and low 13.3s-one run forgot to turn the vdc off and ran a 13.6_the stupid light kept popping up the whole 1320_however even when the vdc is off there is still a little retriction/power cut to keep u honest

I have heard different things in answer to this: when you turn off the vdc the computer will still activate traction control under certain conditions- yes or no? And if yes, what are those conditions?

well ill say it again... pulling out into traffic with vdc on can be down right dangerous. ill take spinning tires over a power cut all day in that situation and most others.
vdc is for highway....rain...and people who probably shouldn't have rwd, haha
