New 12 G37 Sedan, questions about warranty & maintanance

Hey guys!

M new to this forum! Just got the new G37 with Premium Navi for 350017 plus tax license!

I got the qoute from AZ/NJ for 96mo/120k $100 dec for $1599 extended warranty and 96mo/120k Elite 2 maintanance for $1779

My dealer is ready to beat the price by 50 bucks... Is it worth it?

Planning to keep the car for a long time... average driving is 1200-1300 miles/month

Also, I was reading the forum and can't figure out what "break-in is 1200 miles" means?

Thanks

$1600 seems pretty good for a 96m/120K w/$100 ded extended warranty. $62 markup on it? Seems very low. On top of that your dealer is willing to beat it by $50.. Sounds like they're giving it away then, unless there some other hidden perk.

The numbers I got recently when shopping around for this were as follows: After some research, found out these were all $100 over cost.

$0 Ded
72mo/82k=$1174
84mo/100k=$1667
84mo/120k=$1835
96mo/100k=$1720
96mo/120k=$2027

$50 Ded
72mo/82k=$1063
84mo/100k=$1484
84mo/120k=$1650
96mo/100k=$1547
96mo/120k=$1821

$100 Ded
72mo/82k=$976
84mo/100k=$1337
84mo/120k=$1484
96mo/100k=$1392
96mo/120k=$1637

1200 miles means take it easy during that time and don't beat the crap out of the car. Owners manual says to keep it under 4K rpm. I saw just make sure to vary the rpm often.

Does the elite 2 maintenance include full synthetic oil? If you're planning on keeping your car a long time & want the best I wouldn't consider that plan unless it has syn oil.

As stated, just take it easy the first 1,200 miles. Try to keep the revs under 4,000 and it's best to vary the rpms. It's not advisable to take a longer high way trip with the cruise on, during the break-in period, but I've done it with several new cars, out of necessity. The other thing is to take it easy on the brakes. Try not to use them overly hard during the break-in so they have a change to wear in properly. I do my own periodic maintenance and never get the extended warranty, they are almost always a waste of money.
