The stock tune does a great job compensating for your mod selection. Only issue I'd see with that setup is it might drone and be a tad too raspy with the HFCs.

I don't know the specs off the top of my head but you want to make sure the diameters of each component is the same all across, otherwise that could cause even more rasp or unwanted noise. You should be fine without a tune for now but you would want one eventually to help with performance and to run at peak efficiency.

I read all 17 pages of this thread and it seems like the earlier posts said it sounds really good and has awesome fit and finish and then the later posts mentioned issues with fit and finish....that being said is buying a top speed system still a good idea for someone who wants better feedback from the throttle without spending over 1K or what would you guy recommend
I was also interested in some long(er) term reviews of this set up.
thank you

I've had the Top Speed Y Back on my G37x sedan for almost a year (got it March 2016). I painted the mufflers with Rustoleum high heat black paint to protect against rust. It has recently started to peel off and rust in some areas, mostly on the tips. I'll probably repaint it once the weather gets warmer.
The install wasn't too bad. It was slightly crooked, but after spending a little time adjusting it I got both tips pretty aligned. The other issue is the driver side pipe: it's pretty close to the rear diff. So on cold starts it seems to be hitting off of it and rattle, it goes away once warmed up. I have no drone that I have noticed.
Almost 1 year later, there seems to be a leak. I'm guessing because of the cheap gaskets it came with it. I'll probably be replacing that in addition to adding a resonated x pipe to replace the y pipe. Overall I don't have too many complaints. Other then the steel used (seems that many people noticed it rusts quite quickly) and some minor fitment issues. I'd say it's a pretty good purchase. Only thing I'd do different is get better gaskets before installing.

Mine's 5 years old now and still sounding and looking great. I had to get new tips because the bottom of mine were scraped all to hell from our steep driveway and my previously lower drop. If the quality is similar now as it was back then I assume you'll get good value w/ that purchase. If you live where there's a lot of road salts and brutal winters you might want to spend more but ???

Might look at the J2, a few guys have them around here and they seem to be a pretty decent setup for the price, and if you black out the exhaust cans it will look even better. These are a true catback rather than the Y-back of the Topseed set, so it's not a bad way to go.

AWD so my options are kind of limited compared to RWD
I basically copied this dudes set up, tanabe axle back, megan y pipe and got some vibrant 12 inch resonators...still waiting for all the parts to come in.
A lot of ppl on here seem to not like the quality of the stillen catback but really like the tanabe but say it's not loud enough (which the 2 mods above should fix I think)
still waiting on all the parts
