splash guards don't help much when it rains. your car will get dirty with or without them. i like them on personally because i like the way they look, but I bought the car with them on already. Would I get them after if it didn't? Probably not. If you like the way they look and don't mind the $150 or so, then sure, get them. Function wise, not a whole lot. As you can see, the splash guard and the car gets dirty in a little rain regardless.

My 2cents -- I've always found front splash guards to ruin the lines of the car. The rears on the otherhand seemed to help extend/mould the rear a bit.. in almost a body-kit fashion. (the coupes are great, sedans are alright).

I think they must've laid off the previous wheel designers and had some newbies designing the 2010+ Sedan wheels, the 17s & 18s really take away form the nice look of the G IMO. The coupe wheels must've had the old designers on staff, much better than the sedan issue.

The white cars show dirt easily, your lower body could be much dirtier without it. The car definitely looks better with those on, especially darker colored car.

mine has them too, installed from the factory as displayed on the sticker of the car. I would have purchased mud guards anyways had my car not come with them because I feel they add a little bit of aesthetic to the car..

This was the only factory option added to mine. $142 was what they charged for the part+install. I figured it'd be a functional addon. The other things like trunk liner, wheel locks I can buy used through here or ebay.

IMHO, the rear splash guards make the car look a bit wider. In this case, I think a wide rear looks good. :-)

the mud guards for the sedan aren't as aggressive as that for the coupe..the coupe ones look really nice and are a must imho..

Are you on stock suspension? Have you lowered it at all?

Although people call them splash guards or mud guards, they are really best at keeping rock chips to a minimum on the rocker panels and rear bumper...it does work.
And the car does seem to look better too...especially darker cars.
