G37 Car Crash Repaired - Getting Car Friday... Dyno?
my sister's G37 was crashed about a 3-4 weeks ago. It is coming out of the shop Friday and I was wondering what things we should check for to make sure the Mechanic completely fixed the car without taking any short cuts, since its a lease, those would cost big $$ down the road.
The mechanics really didn't emphasize much on the engine being damaged and said it was mostly cosmetic however after it was crashed, it had an extremely rough start, about 15-20 seconds so there must've been something wrong. The car only had about 5.5k miles on it.
We do plan to have the car inspected by Infiniti but as a side note to ensure the engine wasn't hurt (or if it was, it was repaired), I was wondering if it would be too far as to go get a Dyno testing and see if the car is putting up the correct numbers, does anyone know the typical amount of HP that actually reaches the wheels on the AWD X?
I've also heard to hit the highway at 60-80mph to check for vibrations and rattles.
this was the car dash lights and the front.

you are the first guy ever to want to dyno a car after crash repair that I know of.
if you used a shop recommended by your insurance, there must be a life time warranty on the repair. If you paid out of pocket for the repair, then you would know if you did it cheap or not, so why bother with the dyno.
You also sound like this one dude who tried to buy my car 10 years ago. I told him I rear-ended someone 2 years prior in that car. All he kept asking was "is the engine okay?" even though we're on our 10th mile of him driving it on and off the feeway ramp with me telling him to punch the throttle.

i highly doubt there is anything wrong witht he engine or performance of the car.
i would be more concerned with the body lines and headlights...making sure everything lines up 100%.
sometimes the hood doesn't close the right way...or a fender flare doesn't meet the door-line right..etc etc.
+1 on the repair warranty..if you got it fixed at a good shop and insurance paid for it...then if you ever have ANY problems take it back to them

the first mistake was taking the car to a shop thats not infiniti
however, if this is a garage that was recommended by the insurance company...then atleast you know where you can go if there IS a problem
obviously, they will come back and say "we didnt do anything wrong".....so you're going to have that battle.
however its a lease, dont worry about it
