2 issues I need help with please..,
Hello my friends..
I have 2 issues with my 2010 G37 sedan, I want ur help and opinions with..
1- Since the last month, most often, when I start my car the rpm goes up as normal, then slowly goes down and down till it about to stall, and then it goes up again and back to normal.. this issue happened only 4-5 times in the last 30-40 days and not always,, as Iam using the car on daily basis several time per day.. and only twice the car went into a stall..
2- If the car is not driven for about 6-8 hours, even if the temperature of the car is normal, when I start driving it slowly and on the first 3 gears with low speed,, I feel like the gear is messed up, like it doesnt know which gear to catch.. associated with vibrations with gear changes.. then after a while, I mean after driving for 5 minutes or about 300 meters, everything goes back to normal
thanx, and sorry for the language, I hope u understood..
best regards..

It does sound like some type of computer/ECM problem.
If it were my car I'd try a momentary disconnect of the car's battery. There's a slight possibility it will default back to the correct settings.
At least it's under warranty.
When you find out what the problem is please let us know.
Good luck,
Tom

I STRONGLY disagree. Sounds like normal G37 behavior! I have the same things.
The rpm drop....had it too. Belive it or not...a throttle body/induction service by the dealer fixed it. I called BS on it, even kind of argued with them...but had it done and it fixed it.
The crazy rpm shifiting...again...normal 7AT bull-s that everyone, including me, complains about. I have the same thing.

Well not replaced, but cleaned. My car had about 35K miles at the time (I'm at 40K now). I argued with the dealer b/c my position was "If my car stalls when I start it up and its a dirty throttle body, shouldn't that be covered under warranty?". He claimed its a maintenece issue. Either way, the performed the "induction service" and and it did work. The VQ seems a little sensitive to it (dirty throttle bodies). I think its BS that we need to perform this service, but I don't think its a bad TB.
