G37 as a commuter car

G37 as a commuter car
I just joined the forum and I am impressed with community and support here on this forum. Hopefully I can contribute to this forum by joining my fellow G37ers but my biggest concern is whether this car offers comfortable seats for a long commute.
I know it might not be the most practical car for this purpose but I don't want to drive a numb feeling car and if I have to commute every day, I might as well be pampered .
Does any one here drive more than 45 minutes in this car each way and can offer some advice on whether the seat and ride is comfortable?
Anyone know where I can rent one of these cars in the San Francisco Bay Area to test drive for extended period of time to figure out if this car is for me?

^ any dealer who wants your business should allow extended road tests, even over-night or weekend test drives. i've done that numerous times, including a G37xS which i didn't buy because i couldn't get passed no 6MT.
there are two types of seats in the sedan: sport, and non-sport. you should see which works best for you. Sport has a few more adjustments. but it comes down to how the seat fits YOU.
i've never had any problem in my Sport. i'm 6', 195lbs.

I commute my car daily - about an hour and 30 minutes (round trip). I have a 2010 Sedan 6MT Sport with more than 42,000 miles on the odometer (purchased new). I'm a big guy - 6'2 + a little wide lol but despite, the bolstering on the seats doesn't bother me. I've never really considered myself as being "uncomfortable." You'll be fine!!!

I drive about 90 miles round trip/day... I have the non-sport seats, which are a bit flat, but have turned out to be really comfortable. I'm about 6-2, 190 with back problems.

I bought my G37 primarily for highway trips. I didn't want the sport seats so I got the non-sport version. I've put 16,000 miles on it so far, which consisted of (2)5,000 and several 700 and 200 mile trips.
Before the G I had (2) Jeep GC's back to back, that I used for my longer trips.
I also wanted something a bit more fun to drive on these trips. So far we have been happy with the G and surprised with how much luggage we can take with us, considering the size of the car.

My daily commute is only 13 miles each way, but in DC Metro traffic, that transferrs into a 30-60 minute commute. I find the non-sport seats to really be comfortable for a daily driver; much more than my last car, a 2008 Pontiac G6, and than my wife's 2006 Cadillac CTS.

Pffffft! I drive to McLean almost daily from north of Baltimore (62 miles) in my 6MT Sport... No issues to speak of comfort-wise, including on 5+ hour trips to see family and clients in WV. Plus, even to McLean and back I average 400 miles/tank.

i drive 200 miles roundtrip a day in my DD. sometimes i take the G, i can step out of it after that drive and im still fine. so yeah its a pretty comfy car. though its not as comfy as say a mercedes e class for example.
