Stillen Front License Plate Bracket

I finally got a ticket for no front license plate. Rather than drill holes in the bumper and use the factory bracket, I got this Stillen bracket STILLEN : STILLEN '07-'08 Sentra and '08 G37 Coupe License Plate Brackets

I installed it on my '09 G37 Journey, and I'm seems to stick out more than it should. There is 1.5" clearance on driver side and 3" clearance on passenger side. Does that jibe with what other Stiller owners have seen?

never used the Stillen, but I prefer this. although you do drill holes, but at least it is on the underside so you can't see it. but the lower profile and being in the center is more appealing to me.

Sweet! Ive never seen this plate mount before.

As for the Stillen, i hate that thing. I have one, bought it for the same ticket reason, and when i screw it in it always sits a little crooked.

I have the Stillen, but only put it on for longer drives. If I get pulled over I let them know that I want my bumper clean and have it sitting in my backseat. I put it on when the cops say so.

As for the gap. I have a little less than that but still a little bit of a gap.

yea that sticks out way too much. i was trying to see if you bought the right one but it should be the same one as the g37 coupe according to the stillen site. your car is an 09 and it should be the same. the length of the bar is shorter for 2007-2008 g35 sedans though, not sure if that one would fit better

The aluminum shaft is 7" and of that there are ~1.5" of threads. Can anyone verify those dimensions on their Stillen bracket?

I have the STILLEN bracket for my 08 sedan. There are 2 different part numbers which I don't recall ATM. But I am pretty sure you purchased the wrong one. Mine has a tiny gap but nothing like that ginormous one. Call up Stillen, they might exchange it for you if you have the receipt. They replaced my hardware for free when I purchased a used one.

I used the Year/Make/Model dropdowns on the Stillen website. In the product description it says

Application
2009 - 2011 G37 4DR

Description
w/24mm Tow Hook Thread Diameter - 7 1/4" Length (Stock Fascia)
Will Not Fit Nismo Edition

Part #
105465

The box it was shipped in says 105465 on the outside.

I just walked out to my car to check mine. The gap is MUCH smaller than yours.
