Took My Second Test Drive Today...

looks like we've moved onto this thread from the other. again, no one is arguing that the G is more reliable. BUT...that doesn't mean the BMW or any other European brands are totally unreliable. That measure is subjective. What is unreliable to one is not to another. At what point does it make a car unreliable? 5 visits to a shop? 10? Everyone has a limit. What can be determined is which is a better car. And before anyone gets their panties in a wad, I own, and have owned, both European and Japanese brands. So I'm not going by what others' have said or what I've read on the internet. In this case, the BMW is a better car. G25 V 328 or G37 V 335, on paper and tests. I know my Audi is superior in both power delivery and driving dynamics over the Infiniti, hands down. Just because I own an Infiniti, I'm not afraid or open minded enough to admit that there are something better out there.
Yes, the Infiniti is a better value. Which is the only reason why I bought it. Do i like it? Sure, for what it is and what you pay for it. Is it the best? No. Is the Audi (or BMW in this discussion) better? Sure. Carry on.

^^^ I decided to save money. College ed, second house etc. The way I wanted the bimmer would still be more than the G and I admitted it previously, I wanted the goodies.
For the first time I just experienced some of the quirkiness of the 7at. Is it going to ruin my ownership experience no, of course not. Is the bimmers auto better. errrm yeah.
And yeah, the G is bigger, which is a bonus.

And I'll add what you drive is your preference, but where the G stands in relationship to the 335 as a sports sedan has been out there for 10 years. So you decide to drive what you decide to drive; but the 335 will outhandle, outperform, lower noise, better road feel, better tranny etc, than the G. Oh yeah, it's also more expensive.

also, "lower noise?".. reviewers from multi aspects indicated the 335 is more noiser than G on highway, you should do some homework before claiming it's a better car,
end of discussion here.

no one is trying to sell you, or anyone, anything here. it's a discussion forum and we are discussing about 2 cars. if people don't like it, then don't start a thread comparing the 2. and if you are not mature enough to participate and accept other opinions in a discussion forum, then YOU fail that much. I'v also notice some of you are in 2011 Gs. Spend more time with it...you will discover it's quirks, just like any other cars. Don't be so quick to defend it with your life.

LOL, not mature enough to participate.
This is getting real good now.
Thats right, I do have a 2011 G and have had absoultely no problems with it whatsoever. I have also owned a 94 J30T, 06 G35C, 06G35S, 08 G37C, 07 G35S and a FX45 and have had nothing but positive expierences with Infinitis.
Thats what keep bringin me back to the brand. Reliability, low cost maintance, and so on. The G is a all around Champ!
Thats not sayinng the 335i is garbage, but most of the previous BMW owners I have spoken with have regretted there purchase
due to the higher maintance costs and frequent trips to the shop.
It is just funny because in almost every post you guys sound like a BMW salesman who is trying their hardest to get a customer to buy a 3 series knowing they have the G37 in mind.
But in the end... To each his own.
Good Day!

I don't even own a BMW. I'm merely pointing out the fact that it is possible for another car (in this case, the BMW 3 series), to be a better car than a G. And we are talking about the car's performance capabilities...not price or value, or even reliability. Because as i stated before, that is subjective. I've own 2 Audi and my family owned 5 MB with no issues. So you may have heard BMW owners complain about their cars. But I can argue that I've also heard many previous G owners complain about high oil consumption, battery issues, stereo issues, and brake issues. At the end of the day, to each their own. Just don't be closed minded to accept that there are cars out there that is superior to yours. BTW, this only got good when you posted that silly picture and sales pitch comment.
