I'm so glad I chose the G37 over the new BMW 3 series~

Just got my first G37, in the past I have had 3's and C300's (which is not really in the same class).
For price performance the G really impressed me, slightly better than the 3 in my opinion overall. The G looks much better to me than the 3 series. The 3 has always looked like a generic car to me, its the BMW badge that makes people overlook it though. Both interiors are bland, just rubber, cheap plastic, and mediocre aluminum or wood.
Of course there will always be people that prefer the 3 over the G just because it does cost more and BMW has established a certain reputation, which I cant argue. But I am more about performance, and the G is the winner in that dept for me. Now Infiniti could come out with a M3 or M5 killer that would be awesome.

Unless he's implying performance in terms of HP alone and then it is no contest with the 328. The G's 100HP advantage more than makes up for the advantage that the 328 has in driving dynamics.
If we're talking the 335 then it's not really a fair comparison since a comparably equipped 335 costs considerably more than the G.

Actually, mentioning the budget, I may not replace the Acura with a 3. I like to keep my overall payments low (and interest % lower). With my retirement accounts taking a beating, I think it would be wise to ratchet up the savings and let the compounding and investment ops roll in...

Well I was just stating my personal preference not really debating anything.
As Yosemite Dan pointed out yes I was comparing G37 to 32x's sedans, with sport package.
Although if I were in the market for an M3 or M5, there is no competition. BMW perfected the daily driver / sports car with those two M's.
Unless Infiniti could bring a lower priced GTR? Then again thats way OT and open for debate.

2007 and early 2008 335's did NOT have the aux oil cooler that was installed on later vehicles after numerous owner complaints. That MT video was dated 10-08, so who knows what model they tested.
I'm willing to bet it was the one w/o the cooler, because heat soak was not an issue with cars that had the cooler. Guys with the later model 08 and beyond run multiple runs at the track with no overheating problems.
