each model within a brand has different reliability standards. A6 may have excellent reliability record while the A5 may be poor. while I disagree that the A6 has superior reliability, the A4 does have better than average.
The A6 has to be a typo. Every other publication I've read says that the A6 has horrible reliability and expensive to fix and is the one Audi model to avoid.
Every German car I've owned (VW, BMW) was a blast to drive and a cash sink hole when it comes to maintenance & repairs. The G is my third Infiniti and they've all been dependable and fun to own.
