G37 VS Ford Taurus SHO?
#3
I was real close in getting a sho before the g (1 month old)....
Big factor was the sho is much larger and didn't want to drive such a large car. The other thing was felt it was about 5k too much for a ford. Lastly the interior looks too much like an 80s ford interior. But the 2012 version (out next year) is completely redesigned so it may be an option later on after my lease is up.
Generally I felt it was a great overall car and is a good alternative to the g.

The Mustang 5.0 is an awesome car for the money, the SHO is a nice car overall, but the inflated sticker makes it harder to compete w/ the cars that are already established in that price point. The huge hit domestics take at trade-in just makes it too hard to pay those high initial prices IMO.
These would be a much better option as a pre-owned, letting the previous owner pay the premium.

Hmmm... tough choice. An overweight, oversized, overpriced mainstream brand grampa car with a turbo vs. a well priced, lean, mean, premium brand sports sedan.

Yeah I noticed that too. And for the most part the results werent even close.
Still give credit to Ford, the only one of the big three that didnt take bail out money, and probably currently the best quality across their models for a domestic brand.
Id still love to replace my Frontier with a twin turbo F150

I worked at Ford before Infiniti and I loved the SHO...until I drove the G. Not even in the same league. For a ford it's good, but if your going to go for something like that I say go for the eco boost flex, not much to compare it too and it's unique. hated them at first but they kind of grew on me, plus they drive real nice for long hauls.

I've driven a few Ford rentals.... fusion, edge, explorer.... and they all were really nice, nicer than I expected. That being said, I really don't think the Taurus and the G sedan are even remotely comparable....
