I appreciate your input on this as I have been asking and asking for something similar (even have a dedicated thread with no real responses) experience. Believe me I would be in the Tanabe camp IF the upgrade and $$ sounded better than stock... I am NOT looking for loud and ricey... I AM looking for same as stock sound except deeper and moderately louder... in other words I want someone to know I have aftermarket exhaust without waking up my neighbors. Would you agree with this statement? Would you say its a definite upgrade over stock? Also want to confirm your running a Sedan.
Thanks for the input...
PS - since your install is fairly old... Can you make a sound clip of your setup?

For people looking for a more dramatic impact, they might be disapointed with Tanabes. Maybe not the compliments I get the most about my G is dude I love your exhaust where did you get those they seem to prefer the rolled tips. And IMO they don't sound stock they claim 93db not sure what stock is have no way to measure it. Bottom line Mike it's your Lettuce and your car buy what looks and sounds good to Mike
P.S. haven't heard a sound clip yet that does them any justice need to hear it in person.

I don't have a sedan but when I was debating on the two I went with Tanabe , the sound is more unique and a true Japanese exhaust. Tips look better IMHO , I just hate Burnt Tips I know ark offers Polished tips but stil I vote Tanabe all the way. I even chose Tanabe over Fast Intentions , I had both! in person Tanabe is just so baddass.

On one hand I want to go back to the days of my mustang 2 chamber flowmasters but hated the drone..... So would you say the are the flowmasters without the drone? I like that growel on take off. Is it there?

it's nowhere near a flowmaster. Tanabe is very mellow. no drone, but sounds nothing like a flowmaster in tone and volumn. I don't think the loud rumble of an american V8 sounds good on a G, or any luxury sports sedan. but that's just my opinion. it should be mature and refined.
