Has anyone tried this front end conversion yet?

Usually while I'm at work crazy ideas pop into my head. Coming from the world of Honda's where parts are interchangeable between cars, I was wondering if anyone has tried putting the M37S/M56S front end on a G? I know I know, if you like that front end why not get that car. This is more curiosity because I plan on swapping to the G37S front end but if I can go with the other, I would prefer it. I don't want to buy the parts to test it out. Anybody who owns both have any input?

this is the reason I was looking at it
M37

G37

Notice where the fender ends on both cars, it appears to be the same spot.

not unless u modify to make it fit. Look at the headlights, they are of different shape and size.

thats why i said the front end swap, not a bumper swap. i mean the entire thing: hood, fenders, headlights, grill

Isn't the M noticeably wider? That would be some major customizing to get that to work IMO.

Nice M though. I want one now.

U could also go to the dealer to measure out some of the key lines on the M to see if they'll physically fit....then you'd want to consider bracket position and mounting points...but those can be made.

I would say no way. Look at the M's grill, it sits almost straight up and down while the G angles back. The shape of the headlights is different and I believe that the M is a wider vehicle so the M bumper would be to wide. I would start by going to a website that lists dimensions of both cars to start with. If they don't match then you're done.

Good luck!
