Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that China has a tremendous number of first time drivers/car owners. Lack of driving experience and extreme congestion might make such sensors extremely helpful. Just a thought.

every area has different features because of that market area. I would love the front sonar sensors b/c it is a pain to park in NYC...

Look they have the M25 out in other parts of the world.... we won't see that here in the US b/c of our market segment (I wouldn't care for it).

all these options add up to costs.... I'm sure we have plenty of homeowners here--- things start to add up as we add accessories

its simple math calculations

I would love the front sensors as well. In my area, there are lots of curbs in the parking lots. Front sensors would be great helpful. My coworker has a X5 with sensors in the front. It's really nice.

It has 100% to do with lack of parking and trying to fit into tight spaces. They also drive very close during rush hour.

They are just for cosmetic purposes only lol

Nah, I actually think it's because big cities in Asia are very very crowded (much more than NYC), so parking spaces (if any) are really tight. Streets are much narrower with gazillions of smaller motorcycles and "unknown" objects.

Not being racist, just trying to make sense of comments......OK so because it is crazy to drive in China means that when you come over here you drive/park poorly?? Am I missing the logic here?

...and you have no sense of humor. I'm Asian and my mon can't drive. Also, it's not racist to say Asians can't drive, it's prejudiced.
