Getting a G37 sedan, need some help!
Hi,
So, my dad and I are deciding to split payments on a new/used g37 7AT for me. I've searched and searched and still have a couple of questions. Regarding the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, I've only found the 5.0 0-60 and 13.5 1/4 mile for a 7AT. Are these times the normal times people have been getting stock, or are they faster than what people have generally been getting? Also, this may come off as very dumb, but is there any difference in speed between the g37 base/journey/sport? I know that the sport is 6MT, so I guess that doesn't apply. But, my basic point is, if the aforementioned 0-60 and 1/4 mile times are correct, are they universal for all 7AT's, regardless of whether it's base or journey? And lastly, I've read that when pitted against other cars, especially the is350, the g will pull much harder and pull away at higher speeds, around 60+? Sorry for all the questions, but I've searched and searched and still needed some answering and confirmation. Thanks!

^Concur with the above comments. You can get the sport in a 7AT and I would recommend opting with the sport package if you plan on driving it hard, which it seems might be the case. I'm modded and can easily smoke IS350's (on a controlled course ofcourse). Good luck with your purchase.

The 37s are a bit faster than the 35s, not much at all though, maybe a couple tenths 0-60.
Base, Journey, & Sports will all straight line very close in the 1/4 mile & 0-60. The tires on the Sports are a much stickier summer tire, so they will hook up better and obviously can be driven faster on the dry roads. The Sports are equipped to be driven harder w/ the bigger brakes, firmer suspension, bolstered seats, paddles and LSD. The only G that will get smoked by another G (stock) is the G25 (lol)
