Trading My G37 for S4

Audi of America > 2012 Audi S5 Cabriolet
The slowest I have seen that engine is 4.9s in the A6. Its simply one of the best V6 engines this side of the GT-R.

Negative. No such plans to put that engine in the A5 coupe or convertible. And there is no "new" A5 in the works. The 2013 model will be the mid-cycle refresh, but it will only have a slightly revised nose with new headlights similar to the A7. The rest of the car remains exactly the same, except for a slightly revised lighting pattern to the taillights and different wheel options. BTW, the taillight lenses themselves are still the same though. So the mid-cycle refresh is pretty much minimal.

"New to the Audi A5 lineup is the 3.0 TFSI, a supercharged V6 producing 200 kW (272 hp)."
"All S5 models, including the Coupé, are now equipped with the 3.0 TFSI producing 245 kW (333 hp)."
Anyway, here are a couple iPhone pics of the S4. I picked it up today. It was sad to see the G37 go, but the S4 is a blast. I will get some better shots when I actually do something to it.

Okay, I'll say it again....there are no plans for the A5 to get a 3.0 engine in the U.S. The S5 is a different matter entirely. The S5 has had a V8 engine since it's inception. It's a well-known fact that the S5 is losing the V8 and it is being replaced by the 3.0 supercharged engine. However, this has nothing at all to do with the A5, which has never been available with a V8 engine in the first place.

If you're going to be an Audi owner, you should understand the difference between an A5 and an S5. The 3.0 engine isn't going into the U.S. spec A5, period. The 3.0 will be in the S5, which is a replacement for the discontinued V8 that it came with all these years. This isn't difficult to understand, so I'm not sure why you are so confused.
