Is any one here running an ARK CBE with BERK HFC (or another type) I have this setup and There is a strange hiss/ whistle when accelerating (not rasp). Want to make sure my assumption is true that there is a small leak somewhere and that this is not a side effect of HFC with the ARK

 

i think its normal with berk hfc... btw how loud is it? and is there any drone between 2k -3k rpms?

 

Sounds like a leak, man. Whenever you hear it during acceleration, it's most likely that, unless it's normal for Berks. The only way you'll be able to find out is if you take it to someone that knows what they're doing, so that they can see it in person. The guessing part is hard when you want the problem to be determined.

 

There's been at least 3 guys on here running HFC's with ARK that have run into problems. ARK says their system isn't designed for the increased flow from HFC's or something. A lot of guys have a rumble or noise that comes from the y-pipe area. It might be similar to what they are getting.

 

thats not what im getting, its more of a whistle..(and from what im reading in different places this seems like a leak) the sound is absolutely amazing other than that.. not too loud at all.

I can vouch for AZG, I've heard that the Berks can hiss with Ark.

 

Hmm have you heard anything about test pipes?

 

Bump, my car is in long island at a tuner shop getting checked out. I will let you know how it goes

 

Just got a call from the shop! He said the welds on the mod for the x were mig welded and horrible haha. Which is fine, I expected that when I bought it. He said he cleaned up all the welds and re did the weld for the passenger side muffler to make the tip centered. He said it completely got rid of the noise and said that it was one of the cleanest tuner exhausts he has heard.
