Curb weight of your vehicle is the weight of the car with all of the standard equipment and amenities, but without any passengers, cargo or any other separately loaded items in it.

Gross weight is the combined weight of the vehicle and all passengers and cargo pieces in "gross," that is to say, in total.

Horsepower, torque, vehicle weight, gear ratios, transmission types,
are all weighed in AFTER the driver's abilities.

To make this valid, I would want to see the OP drive one of the other
cars, against his G37. Good chance he would have nosed out the G37.

Not blowin' smoke up the OP's ****, just saying his reaction time, driving
ability, and past driving experience play a key role in each race.

To the OP: Nice Job!!! It's a great feeling to win against a car that
(according to the numbers) you shouldn't have. Keep the shiny side up!

Sorry, misread the end of your post, in reality the curb weight is really the only practical measurement of the vehicle weights in a hypothetical environment, without knowing fuel load, driver weight, non-OEM options (subwoofer assemblies, lightweight aftermarket parts, etc) we can't really compare the gross weight with any degrees of accuracy. Hope that answers your question.
