Would you rather install GTM TT on G37x or buy S4?

OP, one MAJOR thing that you forgot about going TT is the supporting mods that you have to install/ build even before you bolt on snails to your car. As your car is an X, first and foremost the differentials/ transfer cases are not built to handle the power that a TT generates. You have to find someone who can build it. Second, you need to upgrade your transmission as well at least with a valve body upgrade as again, the tranny isn't built to hold that much power.

However, if you do pull this off, I will give mad props to you but you have to know exactly what serious business you are getting into.

I know that it's too late to say this, but you were better off getting a 6MT or a Journey edition because they do not have to worry about these problems as much esp with not having to worry about the AWD differential.

With all that being said, I would just get a S4 and call it a day.

Not to mention the S4 is available with a true manual or a far superior dual-clutch, and with only a tune it will completely blow the doors off a G37. I have a 6MT G37 with full bolt-on's and a tune, and I got slaughtered by a stock S4 (from a roll, standing start, you name it)....

Latest S4 numbers: http://www.roadandtrack.com/var/ezfl...564774ca35.pdf

The only place the G wins is cost/value. A G37x with normal options (premium and sport, no nav) is around $44k. An S4 with similar options (DSG, B&O, leather, no nav) is around $51k, but you get a faster, better handling car. The Audi has a transmission that is light years ahead of the G's, and the interior is more refined. I think that is $7k well spent....
well:

not impressed. only at 80mph it could pass G35x...

BTW, I eat A7 with the same engine (a little bit deforced) for the lunch

price difference in Australia is around 90K. An S4 with the trick differential is approx 135K. I bought a 2009 v36 (imported as we dont have infiniti) cost 45K.

The A4, A5, A7 aren't in the same league as the S4 & S5, if your G couldn't eat the A7 for lunch your car's got problems. The S4 will dust the G from a roll all the way up to top speed, of course if you trust youtube videos as the be all end all that's up to you

A7 is 3.0T V6. How is that the same engine as S4?

??? The S4 looks like it eats the G alive. I have raced a S4, and it was much faster than my modded G37 from a stop and roll. The A7 weighs 400 lbs more than the S4, and has 25-30 less HP (really 30-40 in real life).... It is 1 second slower than the S4 0-60 and the quarter mile.

That is what the S4 uses (3.0 supercharged-same as your A6). In the A6, A7, Q7, and next A5, it is just a de-tuned version of the same engine. By all accounts, the engine is 95%+ the same. Now, the current S5 uses a 4.2 V8, but that is not what the S4 uses (or the next S5)....
