Got em back from powdercoat, perfect "gunmetal" IMO
Need tires now, what's the consensus of sizing? 225/45 & 245/40? 245/40 all around? 245/40 & 265/?? ? Mainly interested in looks, don't want a "beefy" or "pillowy" sidewall, but don't want to risk stretched tires either (OEM suspension btw). Thanks

As far as tires, a 235/40/19 front 265/35/19 rear would be a good combo as far as having a similar mount at the sidewall. Running 245/40s all around is another fine plan, that 1/2" stagger will be hardly noticeable at the sidewall.

^Thx again for your help. Sounds like you recall my having to re-coat these wheels, came out good but BOY was I wrong about the shop doing them (Custom Functionz in DMV), all I'll say is that the owner has a LONG way to go as far as running a business and handling customers, but I still came out clean (after a little grief).
Ordered 245/40/19 all around, Continental DWS "06" (new version), should be able to put up some photos in a week or so.

^NICE! That fitment is spectacular.
Finally got mine on, 245/40 Continental DWS06 on the sport coupe 8.5/9 staggered wheels. To me, setup looks pretty good with OEM suspension, was somewhat expecting the wheel swap to evolve to lowering springs and spacers, but think I'll be fine for now. But what a major difference these make over the sport sedan 18s.
But now, the bright chrome center caps stick out pretty badly, need to think of what to do there (they don't seem to be easily paint-able). Also, the headlight housing now stick out a lot too. Never ends...

Nice job S Town^^. a couple pics the gap doesn't look too big and a couple others it does. If you're happy then who cares
The problem is this site, lol, too many lowered Gs so when you see ones that aren't dropped it's obvious to our "trained" eyes.
Those caps might not be too bad to paint, have you asked any auto painters in your area?

Yes gap is all over the place in photos, most level ground is probably in the shop (first two photos).
Funny you mention trained eyes because this site permanently changed my perspective of gaps, tuck/poke, etc. basically never paid attention to how the wheel fits the well until the very observant folks on here routinely pointed it out and eliminated it with springs, spacers, etc. Oh well...
The center caps are tricky, because they have these circular rings engraved into them (like a vinyl record), not sure how paint will look on them, might have to experience a little bit, but happy for now.
Thanks again for the tire recommendation, like I mentioned very happy with the 245/40 all around (and the DWS rubber as well)
