I picked up a staggered set today that the guy had painted orange, then plastidipped black. I gotta figure out whether to strip and paint them stock, or paint them a different color. I'm glad my rim search is over for now.
@tifosi it depends of the rears offset. Brad (blnewt) might be able to chime in as he's the guy I ask about offsets lol!

19X9's have an offset of +45
19X8.5s have an offset of +43

Not a big difference. I think I'll have no issues running 19X9s on all 4 corners with 245/40/19s.

Can someone confirm, please?

I am planning on installing 4 G37S rear wheels on my 09 G37xS with 245/40/19 tires.
Tifosi, I live in DC and I am looking for a non-staggered set-up.
If you want, we can coordinate to try and get 4 fronts and 4 rears. PM me!

I opted to get a 245/45/19 for all four wheels. The diameter difference was next to none and way below the 1% difference maximum.
Any rubbing issues on 245/45/19? I'll probably remain stock ride height.

245/40/19 would be the size closest to your stock Diameter.

So Brad I'm confused here, do I get a tire that is less than 1% close to the OE rolling diameter, or the difference between front and rear rolling diameter? I'm was looking at a set of 245/45/19 for my coupe wheels.

Please enlighten me with wisdom here as I am very unsure now haha.

Connor:

I think you should be within 3% of the OEM rolling diameter. And the difference between front and rear rolling diameters should be within 1%.
And if you can get both within 1%, its even better.

@original sin:

Replied to your pm.

I've already got a non-staggered set of 4 rear wheels. I am going to put the 2 front wheels up for sale once I get the tires off.

Since you have an X it's extra critical to have your diameters real close to stock. 225/55/17 is your OEM tire (or optional 225/50/18) Here's the calculator I use~
https://www.myg37.com/forums/tire_rim_calculator.php
A 245/40/19 is only -.10% different in diameter the 245/45/19 is 3.38% larger. For the X you really want it less than 1% as there's been several members that have had theit AWD sesor activated at speeds over 80 mph when they've had tires over 1% variance. If you run a staggered setup you should also keep the F&R tires within 1% of each other. For a stagger you can 2un 245/40/19F & 275/35/19R. Hope that helps.

was thinking the same. picked up some wheels but the guy had them painted an interesting flat gunmetal with a hint of slight blue in it. though i would like it but doesn't seem to grow on me. was thinking of either powder coating them back to a silver color or gold. we'll see what i decide....

I definitely thought about gold myself, but wanted something a little different. I like it a lot.
