This. If I leave the a/c on 78+ when I turn it off, it will blow warm air when I'm riding around with the a/c off. If I turn it on, set it to anything below 72, and then turn it off again it stops blowing the warm air through.

This is an old trick from my Honda days to help rid the engine bay of heat . Whatever temp you have your thermostat set at and whatever vents you are currently blow air out of will continue to stay like that even with the climate control turned off. I always leave my thermostat at 90* on the floor when I'm driving around with the windows down to help relieve the engine bay of all that hot air the VQ puts out.

So if you don't want your seat to feel like it's on fire without the AC on turn the thermostat down to 60* and put it on defrost or the upper vents before turning it off. Roll your windows up and try this trick with it on 60* vs 90* and you'll notice the difference right away. Hope this helps.

I had the temp set to below 80 with out AC on and didnt notice hot air coming through. This was 6am and outside temp 60. However when I was drive back, with same setting, no hot air but seat feels like seat warmer was on(with or without AC)

I had the same experience last night. I spent 3 hrs driving with the A/C on and my butt and back were sweating. I reached down between the driver seat and transmission tunnel and it was real hot. Either the trans is overheating or the exhaust headers are not shielded enough. I was cruising on the highway at night so nothing should be overheating.

Another thing I noticed was the temperature difference between the top and bottom vents. The top vents on the dash blow nice cold air, but the bottom vents near the pedals blow warm air.

Most people keep the climate control on all the time, and set you temperature to your liking. Just wonder why you don't use it. You are paying a lot of money for this feature !!

Its all personal preference. Some like to drive with ac on and some like it with window down. But we shouldnt have to turn on the ac for what appears to be a common heat problem. Its like ordering delivered pizza (not De Goino) and its cold when you got it. You have an oven you already paid for. Why not use it. Certain things are just not acceptable. I like my pizza hot, cheesey, with pepperoni, ham and pineapple Its all personal preference...

To other poster, I also feel abnormal amount of heat from transmission. This is from normal driving on highway driving "little" over posted speed limit

I also like to ride with the windows down. But when I have the windows closed and the A/C isn't enough to compensate for the heat through the tunnel, its very uncomfortable.
