The Auto A/C isn't perfect, but neither are people. You get into a car when you're hot,
you set the A/C to arctic, then you're too cold, so you adjust it...then you're too warm.
You're body takes time to adjust to temperature changes.

I agree with turning the vents off you, the sensors (crappy or not) aren't on your forehead,
or your chest. I'm happy with my auto A/C... The split controls on the other hand...
...what's that all about? I don't see how one side of a car can be warm, and the other
side cool...that hasn't worked yet.

After reading this thread earlier today, I really paid attention on my drive home. I normally set the temp at 75 or 76. It starts off getting really cold and a high fan setting then was slowly reducing the fan speed. The air temp out of the vents stayed quite cold, regardless of the fan speed. Ambient temp was around 105.

Maybe I'm lucky that mine seems to be working ok, I'm with the rest of you, something is definitely out of whack with the sensors. I certainly appreciate the cold AC here in Arizona.

Nothing to complain about with cold A/C, especially with all of the hot weather lately. I've noticed that Infiniti has one of the coldest A/Cs, my wife's Honda even when brand new was weak at best and takes quite a bit of time to get the temp down out of the vents.

One other thing to keep in mind is that the A/C also acts as a dehumidifier. Drier air feels cooler than humid air.

It looks like all the sensors are tward the center of the car and below and behind the dash. Except the sun load sensor with is by the driver's side defrost vent.

Yep, I test drove a 2012 Acura TL a while back, when it was 100+ outside and low humidity, and its AC was very weak. The air out the vents was never what I would call cold. It was so weak that I would consider it a reason not to buy the car, regardless of all else. I suppose it's possible there was something wrong with the particular TL I tested.

The next day I test drove an M37, and what a difference. It got cold quickly, and seemed to manage the temperature well during a 15-20 minute test drive. I wonder if it's the same AC system (the major components anyway) as the G37. I haven't driven a G37 in hot weather yet.

Exactly, it's much better to turn up the heat than not have the ability to cool off the car.

I have mine off unless it's hot, then I set it to 63 and keep it on minimum until I
Freeze and turn it off. Or if it's cold I'll set it to 80 and it's warm lol or just use seat heaters
