News on the 2012 G Sedan??

Anyone have an insider information regarding the 2012 G Sedan? Will it be the brand new overhaul, or just another update to the V36 ?

Considering that 2012 models will be hitting dealerships fairly shortly, and that there have been no news leaks, pics, etc., on a new G, I'd say that changes made will be minimal, if any.

^ I agree, if nothing has leaked by this point in the game for 2012s, probably no major changes. I'm guessing we'll see them in 2013.

we just had face lift recently and the new 7sp tranny. I doubt we will get major changes this coming year or maybe even next

Infiniti has announced they'll be at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. Rumor is they'll announce the a new (2013) design for the G. So 2012 probably stays the same as 2011.

everything I've read says the new G is 2-3 years out. The biggest rumor as of now is they are going to offer the 360hp hybrid setup the M has now.

Boooo, the Sedan is gonna be 5 years old by the end of this year. I hope they introduce the 2013 models very early in the 2012 year, like April/May

G sales aren't bad. There isn't a huge need to have a re-design in 2012. More likely early 2013.

Infiniti will need to do something significant to meet upcoming CAFE mileage standards. I expect a big focus on smaller engines and hybrid technology in future releases. The VQ engines are not particularly fuel efficient....

Ghosn said in an interview back in January that he will approve a new Q once a business case can be shown for it. So far no one has presented him with a viable business case. He said they were looking at bringing back the Q but the recession but it on hold indefinitely.

They're having a hard time moving the M37/56 in big numbers, so I doubt they can make a business case for the Q.

They're better off introducing a small model to compete with the BMW 1 Series and Audi A3.
