ok to use roadside jack for extended time?
Brought my '09 sedan into the dealer for a tire rotation and they managed
to put a few small nicks in one of my wheels just outside one of the lug nut holes. They offered to put me in a loaner while they send the wheel to a repair shop, but I really don't like the idea of possibly having to leave the car there overnight.
I was thinking about using the roadside jack to remove the tire/wheel in the garage, and just dropping the wheel off at the dealer. Would it be ok to leave the car on the jack for 24 to 36 hours? I have 2 jack stands, but not sure where I would put a stand. Thanks.

There's an outside chance it will hold up, but I wouldn't risk it. That (crappy) jack is meant for emergencies, not to hold a corner of the car up for a day or more.
If the dealership dings your car, they're on the hook. If your emergency jack fails and the car is damaged, that'll be on you.

Why not just put the space saver tire on the car for the day or two? It seems to be quite a bit more safe then leaving it on the jack. Like the others have said, you can't really trust the jack for that long a time. Just my .02.

+1. That's what I did when I waited a week for my new tire to come in.

Thanks for the replies. I think that the idea of just putting on the space saver tire is a good one, and that's what I will do. A little more work on my part vs just taking the car in, but I'll rest easier having the car safe at home.
I've only had it in on a few occassions as I've owned it for less than 2 years. One trip was to replace the drivers seat cushion bottom, which had the infamous 'bubble' forming after only several hundred miles. That required taking the seat out of the car, and they managed to put a nice gouge on the door jamb. It was fixed to my satisfaction, but I don't trust these guys with my baby! Thanks again.
