Infiniti Fatality Crash

This crash happened a few miles away from me. After watching this video, I noticed the driver who was fatally injured, was driving a silver G35 or G37. It's hard to tell from the distant pics in the video. ...Notice in the narrative they say he was traveling "well above" the posted 55mph.

Didn't see that in the first link. I posted it second and didn't read that one.

Yeah, yeah, not flaming. Just pointing it out. The power of a crash like this is mind blowing. The cars a barely recognizable. Insane amounts of energy.

Tragedy was, he probably lost it right before the crash and didn't even use the brakes or try to correct. Infiniti has state-of-the-art safety features, but even they won't help in a head-on accident at those kind of speeds.

Yeah, I mean the real tragedy might be more that he ****ed up someone else's life and ruined his own, and probably has a sad mother or girlfriend that will miss him.

Aside from that tho, explain this please: How the F do you lose control of a G on a straight road like that? I mean, maybe he reached for something? Maybe he had a diabetic moment, but seriously, aside from that, It baffles me how someone could lose control of the car like that.

Downshifted into the wrong gear (Ex: 5th into 2nd) and let the clutch out with the steering wheel slightly turned...just my guess. I'm not very good at driving a manual simply because I've never had a manual car, and I've done that before in an Impreza. I caught it right away and clutched in.

^ that would be a good guess. We also have had a lot of rain lately, so maybe that could have been a factor.

The texting and other distractions is a definite thing that I have to watch myself with all the time. It's so easy to look away for a second and obviously in this case you will never get that chance to not do it again.

I think it would be stupid to be texting and speeding at the same time. If he was traveling faster than the 55, even on a straight road, probably not the best idea to be texting and being focused on it instead of driving straight. What a total waste because of the loss of life and effect on other people's lives. It's just sad.
