does installing viper 5901 / 3303 voids the warranty

Hi,

couple of weeks back some dumb a** stole all the 4 wheels and tires of my new G37 2010 journey, now i am planning to get 520T(back up battery system), 507M(Tilt sensor), and 506(Audio glass break sensor) installed on my journey. I went to couple of places and they said i first need to get viper brain, because these extra alarms can't be added to the factory alarm, is that true ? If yes, then i am also planning to get either viper 3303 or 5901, but i heard that remote ignition is not fully compatible with g37 and also the range is not good for auto start ? Also, does installing the viper brain voids the company warranty ? Any good recommendations for the installer ? I live in sunnywale, so anything from SFO to SJ is feasible.

Regards,
Lukes

IIRC, there is a tilt sensor available for the factory alarm?

Technically it is certainly possible to retrofit all sorts of additional sensors to an existing alarm, see this example (for Lexus). Basically all you do is provide power and a delay relay for the sensors, and then wire the output to the existing door open sensor. Now if the car is tilted, the factory alarm thinks a door was opened, and is triggered.

...i heard that remote ignition is not fully compatible with g37 and also the range is not good for auto start ? Also, does installing the viper brain voids the company warranty ?
Yes, remote start on the G37 is problematic.
No, installing a 3rd party alarm does not void the entire warranty on the car. It would void the warranty on any subsystem the Viper is tapped into, and of course if the installer FUBARs your factory wiring harness, Infiniti won't fix that under warranty.

Don't go Viper. Get this one!

YouTube - Kentucky Fried Movie, Car Alarms

Seriously though... if the installer doesn't botch anything up, you should be fine.

I'm checking out places to get viper 5902 installed. FYI in order to start the car...you have to hit the "push to start button" twice then place foot on brake then hit it a 3rd time to start. Shouldn't void warranty unless they torch something

I have no idea what you mean by that. I have viper 5902 and I push in clutch and press start.

im thinking about upgrading my 5701 brain to 5901 or 5902, i did a lot of online research on it and it seems that changing the remote and antenna to the newer one is super easy (the 5701 2-way remote has an issue where it east up the battery within days). However i was wondering if some one knows for SURE if the new brain would be a straight swap into the existing wired harness of 5701??

I looked at their wiring diagrams and they seem same to me but i want to confirm before i drop another $250, i want a straight swap so i dont have to pay for install again... thanks for any help in advance
