Anybody modify front fender liner?
I'm rubbing only over huge dips on fwy etc. But it's only rubbing the front fender liner towards the front where there is a bulge in the liner, has anybody cut this part out?

you have a bulge in your front wheel well, liner? that bulge may be your problem? :/ as in...i don't have that bulge you're talking about on my sedan. check it out? are you running cold airs, in particular injens? cutting the liner could...push more water through when and if it rains. the liners the only barrier between the actual engine bay (by your headlight unit/power unit/bulbs) and debris, water, etc. (outside). i wouldn't cut it...

in the front, top you say? there isn't much directly behind the liner. if you're talking about the spot i think you're talking about...then bulb opening for the headlight unit's right behind it. i suppose you could cut and seal...but iono man......
you on springs? why so bouncy?

If you're on stock wheels and suspension, something is wrong if you're rubbing. If you're taking huge dips at ridiculous speed, then all bets are off, but I'm assuming you're not driving dangerously.

I know what you are talking about and I rub on the same spot. The bulge being referred to is towards the front where one of the bumper brackets is located. I shaved my liner down in that spot with a Dremel and it helps. I also rub on one of the tabs at the top-center that holds the fender liner in place. Honestly, I just live with the rubbing. It is only on plastic parts that can easily be replaced when I sell the car. It does not damage the wheel, tire or fender.....
I am sure the OP is not running a stock setup if he is rubbing. I am running 20x9 +25 wheels with 245/35/20 tires. If I was running 235 tires or a +28ish wheel, I would be fine (I may go with the 235 next time).

Exactly! Ok I may try shaving it down a bit, I don't rub that much either only when I carry passengers. I'm on stance coilovers with Strasse forged 20" 9.5 +35 up front.

Anyway, you can take off a lot of the fender liner "bump" for added clearance, but just make sure you are not rubbing on what is behind it....
