it was just a guess... it's not enough to throw the slip light. but at the same time. it's not like my suspension is stock...

but either way I already knew it was the VDC and no it's never completely off. I just needed to know if it was the auto doing something stupid or not.

If you turn VDC off, it's off. You can do donuts all day long, but if you press on the gas and brakes at the same time, the ECU will just go WTF are you doing and cut power.

Even if you've dumped 15k into your suspension, your cornering speed will not improve much, especially on steady state corners like freeway onramps and 90 degree turns.

IMO, if you want to manually shift, get a manual. Otherwise, use DS but don't manually downshift-- come in hot, brake fairly hard. The car will get you into the sweet spot. Then back in the throttle. And you don't have to mash it either. FWIW, I say let the auto trans/throttle response do its job. Then again, I could be wrong, but give it a shot.
